The FAB Foundation provides technical updates related to the project every week.

FABcoin Mobile Wallet Beta for Android

The Android version can be downloaded and used at http://fabcoin.pro/runtime.html and the Google Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.fa.fabwallet.

The IOS version has been submitted to the App Store, and will be available for installation after it has completed the review process.

Important Reminder: When you start to install the FABcoin mobile wallet, be sure to copy the mnemonic words provided through your wallet onto a piece of paper in the order they were given, and put it in a safe place. Mnemonics are used to restore wallets if your device is lost, broken or stolen.

For more detailed text and video tutorials, please refer to the official website at https://fabcoin.co/help.

We are currently in the process of setting up an issue tracker and continuing to fix UI bugs.

Smart Contract

We have updated the code to fabcoinsc-dev, fabcoind, fabcoin-qt, fabcoin-cli; all are complete and working. Unit tests, functional tests, and benchmark tests have also been passed. Normal trading and smart contract manual testing has been passed. We will also combine fabcoin/sm01 to fabcoinsc-dev.

An initial evaluation of the work required to include the transaction receipt hash into the block header has been done.

Research is being done into the viability of implementing the fast sync algorithm or the warp sync algorithm.

Block level updates will be conducted this week. This will include combining Equihash mining, difficulty, etc. and solving problems such as “release unit test” and “function test”.

Kanban

The Kanban module is now being implemented into the FAB blockchain.

fabcoin.co

There have been many integral fixes on the FAB website. Translations to other languages have begun, all bugs in the sign in and accounts have been resolved, the development API has been updated and content changes were made to each page. Additionally, mobile responsiveness has been improved.

The next week will see significant changes to the home page.

Community Development

The community is growing stronger, and the FAB Global Ambassador Program is currently progressing well with over 40 ambassadors. The excellent ambassadors have diverse backgrounds and full confidence in the project. The ambassadors are currently working in groups. The groups are actively engaged in online and offline marketing efforts to make outstanding contributions to the improvement of community ecology. At present, various ambassadors have set up dozens of online communities to promote, and after more than a month of preparation, the first China offline community event will be held in Beijing by the on July 21, 2018 Beijing time. See subsequent updates and posters for more information.

We also welcome more ambassadors to join our team, visit https://fabcoin.co/ambassador-program.

Mining

Cuda
The new Ubuntu version of the mining software CUDA, has been updated at fabcoin.pro and can be viewed at any time for download. Instructions for use: Ubuntu 16.04 Nvidia with CUDA.

Lock-In
There is no pre-mining period for the foundation chain network and it is directly open for public use and mining. During the first three months, the new currency generated by the mining will be locked for three months. During this period, it will not be transferred or traded. It will be automatically unlocked three months. The first wave of unlocking is expected to be in June (after listing).

The lock-in system is designed to protect the interests of investors and prevent a large number of sell-offs after the listing. The lockout system is temporary. The current block time is the same as Bitcoin. The Bitcoin maturity period is 100 blocks during that time while the FAB network speed is eight times that of Bitcoin, so it is 800 blocks for the allotted time. Any future coins will take less than one day to mature.

The Fabcoin and Doxygen documentation are available at fabcoin.pro. The source code has also been published on the Github website. You can visit https://github.com/blockchaingate/fabcoin to view it. Interested programmers are welcome to participate in the development and testing work. We are open to improvements.
