The FAB Foundation provides technical updates related to the project every week.
Smart Contract
The smart contract is undergoing backend function and unit testing as well as updating parameters for Equihash mining.
We are also almost complete in the creation of our online web wallet. Our test version has been created and we are in the process of adding different languages and creating an online server.
Mobile Wallet
Our FAB Wallet is currently undergoing development to add smart contract functionalities and the ability to use it for different tokens. We are also updating the design and UI.
Kanban
Kanban Grouping and Consensus
We are currently undergoing network testing, and PBFT different node grouping tests for transaction signature and settlement. We will be adding more nodes to the test next week, extending the network latency, improving distributed file systems, and adding multi signatures to the Kanban code.
Kanban Tangle Version
Tasks for Kanban are as follows:
- Management and single-node prompts in the state of the network;
- Tangle network review to handle the path and state in any single node and compare it with the distributed network;
- Tangle network review to handle the encryption localization of the public key, and with the current Kanban workflow ver1.0 mixed use;
- Consensus improvements based on distribution hints and transactions;
- Tracking the probability percentage ratio of requests in the Kanban Tangle network based on local consistency algorithms.
Next week we will design a large map of the Kanban Tangle version and integrate it into the back-end core of FAB, implement a dual payment strategy and challenge some of the potential simulated attacks on the Kanban network while testing network consistency, validity and accuracy of the tangle algorithm.
The first version will be developed for integration into Fabcoin in the near future. Kanban network business rule implementation has decentralized methods such as changenetworkstate, visualization and grouping methods (Sharding), reply to providers, and more.
Community Activity
FAB Asia Roadshow
In order to integrate global technology, capital, community resources, and create “win-wins” Canada’s Fast Access Blockchain and the US- based decentralized exchangr, eXchangily, will embark on a joint roadshow in Asia going through Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Shenzhen , Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hefei, Hangzhou, Shijiazhuang, Seoul, and Tokyo.
The roadshow begins September 16th all the way through to early October of 2018. Activities include attending conferences, academic exchanges, technical seminars, project docking, and partnership discussions.
China Silicon Valley Event
On September 9th, FAB’s Founder, Paul Liu, participated in the “China Silicon Valley — Building a Better Future” conference and delivered a speech. This event gathered the world’s top innovation and technology projects.
Blockchain for Real People — Join the Crypto Craze
On September 11th, 2018 FAB CMO/CIO Liza Horowitz hosted Blockchain For Real People- Join the Crypto Craze in conjunction with Techconnex on the IBM Markham campus. The event taught senior tech professionals about cryptocurrency and the basics of trading, blockchain basics and use cases, and how the technology can be leveraged for their business.
FAB Sponsors the Panda Cup
On September 10th, the Toronto FAB Grasshoppers sponsored by FAB won the Panda Cup. The Panda Cup Table Tennis Tournament in Toronto, Canada brings the best table tennis players in the region together for different competitions. The Toronto FAB Grasshoppers, won the men’s doubles championship.
The Blockchain Society
FAB participated in a meeting of the blockchain industry organized by The Blockchain Society. At the meeting, many top industry experts shared their view on the current blockchain ecosystem and investment institutions from Canada shared the current blockchain financing landscape.
Visit From Mr. Ying
Mr. Wu Ying, a famous social entrepreneur in China, visited FAB. He exchanged ideas on the development and cooperation in the field of blockchain. Mr. Wu’s strong philosophy and mission is to build a better social environment, matching FAB’s goals of economic empowerment and trust. We expect to see further collaboration with Mr. Ying.
